Recapping the Year at Boson

By Kailin Acheson 2013 flew by, and 2014 (our fifteenth anniversary!) is almost here! It is fast approaching. As we begin the new year, I thought it would be a good idea to share my top 13 highlights from Boson World 2013.

NetSim 9 was released. NetSim 9 has been released. NetSim 9 includes an updated Network Designer, a new grading engine and lab compiler. Lab loading is faster.
NetSim has been updated with new labs. We were able to add more labs (and more advanced) thanks to various technologies being updated and some new.
We had a lot of fun. Birthdays and other occasions are always celebrated. This year, we celebrated several birthdays with icecream cake, fruit baskets and pizza. We also had the best singing we could muster. We also visited Opry Mills several times and rode the carousel together once. Fun times, folks!
The brand-new Cisco 200-120 (CCNA), 100-101 (ICND1) and 200-101 practice exams were released. These practice exams replace the previous versions of CCNA/CCENT and are our largest project of the year. We created seven different practice exams with 58 questions each. To make it even more enjoyable, we also included simulation and interactive elements to ensure you have the best possible practice-exam experience.
We wrote more blogs like this one. They are often more informative and interesting than the blogs. Boson Michael, an in-house expert, wrote several blogs about Cisco’s 642-832 exam. These included “The TSHOOT Tree” as well as “TSHOOT Stare and Compare”. Witty-headline-composer James wrote about “Putting a Clock In It” and “Much Ado About Noting OSPF Area IDs”. Delana wrote about printing problems. John wrote about the “Seven Layers of Networking”. Val, our Windows expert, continued his Tips and Tricks series.
Our updated SY0-301 practice exam has given us the opportunity to conquer some difficult simulation items. This product now features some amazingly programmed simulations.
Cisco courseware has been updated. The Cisco courseware covers ICND1 & ICND2. It now matches the changes made to the product numbers, 100-101 and 200-101.
We have created a new practice exam, the CEHv8 of the EC Council.
Microsoft’s 70410 is a brand new practice exam. Check out our complete list of practice exams.
Multiple IT training classes were added. There are too many to list. The sidebar contains the complete course catalog, including 59 classes, and bootcamps.
We have added practice labs for Microsoft and VMware products.
We have updated a few CompTIA A+ Products: 220-801, 220-802, 220-802, and N10-005.
We made it through the 14th year. Next year will be our 15th anniversary. It’s time to celebrate!
