AWS Partner Mission Offers Free Access to Its Cost Management Experts Mission Cloud Services is an AWS managed service provider (MSP) as well as a Premier Consulting Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN). Mission Cloud Services is offering free access to its cost-management experts to organizations who sign up for its AWS reseller program. The Mission Cloud Foundation was launched earlier this month. It will allow companies who have purchased AWS licenses through Mission to consult with one its cloud analysts for ongoing, personalized help with managing their AWS environments. These are the main purposes of Cloud Foundation:

• Mission stated that the analyst will provide “ongoing recommendations for greater cost savings and cost containment.” They will assist organizations in identifying underused or unused resources, creating budget alerts, and researching different pricing options.
• Increase visibility into cloud billing: Organizations may ask their assigned analyst questions about their cloud charges. “Mission” can also reallocate charges, refer to purchase orders numbers, and create automated custom reports.
• Mission will provide guidance on best practices and governance. Mission will conduct regular checks of an organization’s AWS usage, and make recommendations in areas such as resource efficiency and security. Customers will also be assisted in the development and implementation of governance policies that conform to AWS best practices.

CloudHealth, VMware’s cloud management platform, will also be available to companies who are enrolled in Mission Cloud Foundation. Alex Beal, Mission’s director for product, said that the Cloud Foundation service was created to help organizations manage the complexity of their AWS environments. This can include multiple services, each billed at different pricing models. Many customers of AWS express the need for cloud sprawl control and to reduce runaway costs. However, they don’t have the resources or visibility to do so. Customers are often forced to put out fires or not solve the problem,” Beal stated in a prepared statement. Mission is available to assist businesses in all industries with cost management, long-term governance, and confidence as they scale up their AWS environments.
