CompTIA, CEH Certificates Added to DoD8750
Two well-known certifications have been added to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Direct 8140/8570.01M. This opens up new opportunities for IT professionals interested in lucrative careers in the U.S. defense sector or the many private contractors that support the department. This makes the certificates more attractive to all organizations.
The DoD’s Information Assurance (IA), 8570.01M directive provides guidance to the workforce. It outlines a common understanding and application of IA concepts, principles and applications for each category, specialty and level. This is intended to improve the availability and protection of DoD information, information systems and networks.
It’s basically a benchmark that sets standards for IT professionals in the DoD’s domain. This framework is required to demonstrate high levels of competency and strict controls because these networks often contain sensitive data.
CompTIA Cloud+ certifications and EC-Council CND certifications have gained greater acceptance in the IT community by meeting DoD standards. This confirms the importance of passing these difficult exams and makes certified people even more valuable, regardless if an employer is involved with the DoD.

These certifications place a strong emphasis on cybersecurity. We can expect similar moves to promote education in this field as global trends continue to highlight the importance of security in the digital age. This makes it a safe option for professionals looking to advance their careers.
CompTIA Cloud+ (CV0-002).
Cloud+ certification exam (CV0-002), reflects the increasing importance of cloud computing in today’s organizations. It covers topics like cloud deployment, cloud management, migration, and, most importantly, cloud security. Professionals require a deep understanding of encryption standards, key management, tunnel protocols and access control technologies for cloud computing models. They also need to know how to automate continuous improvement in organizational cybersecurity postures.
This certificate joins five other CompTIA certifications in DoD 8140/8570.01M: A+ Network+ Security+ Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioners (CASP).
The DoD also approved Cloud+ for the following workforce types: information assurance manager level I, cybersecurity service provider analyst (CSSP–A), and CSSP infrastructure support. It’s not surprising that the DoD has placed emphasis on security for these three roles. This is in addition to the fact that CompTIA Cloud+ also complies with ISO 17024 standards.
This demonstrates that the DoD is experiencing a seismic shift in its IT infrastructure, just as other companies. The cloud is the future. As organizations realize the many benefits of centralized cloud computing, we are seeing an increase in the demand for qualified professionals.
Cloud+ certifications are important to us. These badges of honour show that IT professionals are able to meet the needs of organizations as they become more dependent on cloud computing.
Certified Network Defender (CND)
The EC-Council’s Certified Network Defender (CND), focuses on training network administrators to detect, protect, and respond to threats to their network. This lab-intensive certification program is the result of a job-task analysis as well as cybersecurity education framework by National Initiative of Cybersecurity Education.
The CND is essentially for blue-team operations. These professionals protect IT systems from attacks by combining the most current threat landscape knowledge with best practices and network hardening methods. As systems operation center (SOC).
